The event was open to anyone with a British car to display till 10 am then the option of two runs (100 miles or 120 miles) final destination, Morven Domain. The weather was not very kind, it rained, so most British car enthusiasts had their lunch sitting in their cars. Lunch finished the cloud rolled back and the sun came out.

We entered the run but missed out the Timaru bit and headed down the motorway to the Beaconsfield turn off, through Otipua, Gordons Valley then followed the Hunter Hills to Waimate. Through the Waimate Gorge then back to State Highway One then on to Morven Domain. By this time it had started to rain. Most British car enthusiasts opted to have their lunch sitting in their cars although the Morven Hall was available for those who wanted home comforts like a table, and a chair to sit on.

Lunch over, the cloud rolled back and the sun came out, most people content to wander about looking at cars. People drifted away, most heading for the clubrooms, a BBQ and prize giving.
